Academic School 4 Arts is a K–8 performing arts micro school in Cooper City that blends serious academics with a school day packed with music, dance, theater, and visual arts. With small class sizes and personalized attention, students are truly seen and supported. Here are three of the biggest reasons Broward County families tell us they choose AS4A.
At most schools, the arts are a once-a-week "special." At AS4A, K–8 students blend a full academic curriculum with professional music, visual arts, dance, and acting classes every single day. Families tell us their children finally feel excited to come to school because their passion is built into the schedule, not squeezed in at the end.
We're an arts school and an academic school. Our curriculum meets and exceeds Florida state standards in math, language arts, science/STEM, social studies, and PE. Teachers use the arts to make lessons come alive, so students learn to think critically and express their ideas with confidence.
As a micro school, AS4A feels close-knit and personal. Teachers and staff know each student by name, notice their strengths, and support their growth as both learners and artists. Students cheer each other on at performances, auditions, and showcases. Many families use Step Up For Students and our performing arts scholarships to make AS4A possible, opening doors to training and opportunities they couldn't find in a larger, traditional school.

Both. AS4A was founded on the belief that the arts and academics should be treated as equals. Students follow a full core curriculum in math, language arts, science/STEM, social studies, and PE, while also taking daily classes in music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Our goal is for children to think critically, create confidently, and grow in both mind and talent.
